HELP Logistics and Tkiyet Um Ali Formalize Partnership to Strengthen the Delivery of Food Assistance in Jordan

Joining Forces to Enhance Food Supply Chains in Jordan

HELP Logistics and Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA) have entered a new partnership focused on strengthening food supply chain systems and supporting resilient, locally anchored food assistance in Jordan.

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marked during a field visit to TUA’s facilities attended by leadership from both organizations, including Mr. Samer Balkar Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, alongside Mr. Sean Rafter, Managing Director, and Mrs. Alia Gharaibeh, Middle East Regional Director at HELP Logistics.

“Strong supply chain systems are essential to our ability to serve communities reliably and at scale,” said Mr. Samer Balkar, DG of Tkiyet Um Ali. “This partnership supports our efforts to enhance operational efficiency and resilience, ensuring our programs remain responsive to changing needs.”

The partnership builds on Tkiyet Um Ali’s existing operating model, supporting its efforts to refine targeting, improve coordination across its network, and continue investing in systems that enable transparent and responsive food assistance, aligned with national priorities and regional crisis response.

“Tkiyet Um Ali’s focus on sustainable food assistance aligns closely with our approach to local systems strengthening,” said Mr. Sean Rafter, Managing Director of HELP Logistics.

“Our collaboration will focus on practical system improvements, supporting data-driven decision-making, and strengthening the operational systems that enable reliable, accountable delivery at scale,” said Mrs. Alia Gharaibeh, Middle East Regional Director at HELP Logistics.

As part of the partnership launch, HELP Logistics’ team visited Tkiyet Um Ali’s warehouses and offices, gaining an overview of end-to-end operations including cold chain management, storage, packaging, and distribution, as well as the in-house date bar production line supporting school feeding programs.

Insights from the visit will inform the next phase of strategic supply chain advisory support, enabling TUA to strengthen end-to-end food supply chain resilience and efficiency and deepen it’s contribution to food security in Jordan and neighboring crisis areas.
