We recently collaborated with the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in the Philippines to deliver a training session as part of the Logistics Management and Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Procedures (CIQ) Training. Held in Manila from March 11^th to 15^th, this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to enhance the capabilities of those at the forefront of disaster response.
 
Developed under the ASCEND Competency Standards in 2023, the content for this training was meticulously crafted to address the complex challenges faced by humanitarian logistics professionals at the officer level. Our collaborative effort aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage logistics operations effectively during times of crisis.
 
The training covered a range of critical topics, including logistics management, coordination mechanisms, and the alignment on customs and importation processes from the respective ASEAN Member States. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, a case study, and discussions, fostering a dynamic learning environment that encouraged the exchange of ideas and best practices.
 
We are proud to have contributed to the strengthening of the humanitarian logistics network in the ASEAN region. The positive feedback from participants reaffirms our belief in the power of collaboration and capacity building.
