Mastering Emergency Logistics: A Focus on Safety and Security

HELP Logistics Partners with AHA Centre for Successful Safety and Security Emergency Logistics Training in Jakarta

We are delighted to announce the successful delivery of a training session by HELP Logistics for the AHA Centre in Jakarta, Indonesia. This training focused on the critical topic of safety and security in emergency logistics operations.

Part of the AHA Centre's Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ERAT) programme, the training aims to enhance the capacity and readiness of ASEAN Member States in responding to disasters promptly and effectively. ERAT members serve as the first responders from the ASEAN region, deployed to ASEAN Member States for disaster management and coordination.

The comprehensive training covered various facets of safety and security in emergency logistics operations, including risk assessment, personal security, vehicle and convoy security, warehouse and asset security, communication and information security, as well as security coordination with other actors. HELP Logistics leveraged the training content of the ASEAN Humanitarian Logistics Management Officer Level curriculum codeveloped last year with the AHA Centre. Participants also had the opportunity to share their insights, drawing on examples to illustrate the unique nuances in their respective operational countries.

We extend our sincere thanks to the AHA Centre for choosing HELP Logistics as their training partner. Their hospitality and professionalism have been greatly appreciated. We also express gratitude to the enthusiastic and actively participating participants who made this training a success.

Collaborating with the AHA Centre and the ERAT members has been a rewarding and enriching experience for HELP Logistics. We eagerly anticipate future collaborations, supporting their efforts to build a disaster-resilient ASEAN community. Stay tuned for more updates on our continued partnership.
