Supporting CARE International in Regional Supply Chain Improvements

HELP Logistics participates in CARE International’s regional supply chain workshop in Accra, Ghana.

Last week, the HELP Logistics West Africa office participated in Care International’s regional supply chain workshop in Accra.

The 5-day participatory workshop, brought together CARE International colleagues from Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali, Benin, Togo, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon  and Cote d’Ivoire to exchange knowledge and expertise on enhancing supply chain activities that support the organisation’s operations.

HELP Logistics presented a strategic outlook on the trends, challenges and opportunities that lay ahead in humanitarian supply chains and urban logistics in the region. We also raised awareness on the points in humanitarian supply chains that are susceptible to fraud and corruption.

Overall, the workshop enhanced particpants’ understanding of supply chain methods and improved coordination and planning between the various stakeholders. Thanks to our colleagues at CARE International and the UPS Foundation for the invitation and excellent workshop.
