Last March, we completed our second and final Certified Humanitarian Procurement Professional (CHPP) pilot programme workshop with 14 different International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) National Societies in Budapest, Hungary. The programme received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants who appreciated the unique insights and takeaways it provided to enhance their procurement and sourcing skills.
Commenting on the training Jose Fernando Giraldo Vanegas, IFRC National Society Logistics Development, Europe and Central Asia said: “For our logistics team at the IFRC Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, we consider this collaborative initiative a decisive moment in the process of enhancing the procurement capacities of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies in the region.”
As the humanitarian sector evolves and sourcing for life-saving supplies becomes more complex, we aim to equip professionals and organisations with world-class knowledge and skills. This will enable practitioners to source more effectively and deliver on time, all toward the effort of shaping supply chains to benefit humanity.
Moving forward, HELP Logistics and CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply will roll out this unique course offering to its partners in West and East Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Stay tuned!
