HELP Logistics Leads the Development of a New Emergency Logistics Roadmap for ASEAN

Aligning strategies and strengthening collective preparedness for faster, more coordinated regional disaster response.

On 7 August 2025, HELP Logistics joined representatives from all ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat in Langkawi, Malaysia, for the Validation Workshop of the ASEAN Emergency Logistics Roadmap 2026–2030.

Hosted by the AHA Centre with support from the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund, the workshop was a key milestone in shaping a stronger, more connected disaster response system for the region.

Under our Memorandum of Understanding with the AHA Centre, HELP Logistics led the development of the new roadmap. Drawing on our expertise in supply chain optimisation and humanitarian logistics, we worked with regional stakeholders to review past achievements, assess emerging risks, and design practical, innovative solutions that meet the operational realities of ASEAN Member States.

The roadmap builds on the success of the 2016–2020 version, which saw the establishment of DELSA warehouses in the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. The 2026–2030 roadmap focuses on faster, more coordinated, and more effective disaster response, leveraging new technologies and aligning with the AADMER Work Programme.

At the workshop, delegates reviewed the proposed implementation approach and contributed valuable feedback to further strengthen coordination and logistics networks. The AHA Centre will now incorporate this feedback before the roadmap proceeds for formal ASEAN approval.

This collaboration reflects HELP Logistics’ ongoing commitment to supporting evidence-based planning, building capacity, and strengthening disaster preparedness systems to benefit communities across ASEAN.
