Strengthening National Health Supply Chains Across the Asia-Pacific Region

HELP Logistics Joins Asia Regional HPM-PPM Meeting to present tailored solutions for Enhancing Health Supply Chain Efficiency Across High-Impact Asia-Pacific Countries

HELP Logistics recently participated in the Asia Regional HPM-PPM Meeting for High Impact Asia and South-East Asia Countries supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund). The meeting, held in Bangkok, provided HELP Logistics the opportunity to present its expertise in delivering technical assistance and training programs focused on strengthening health supply chains. We were invited to share insights into the technical assistance and training programs we offer, particularly around strengthening health supply chains.

With a particular on supporting the fight against HIV, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria, HELP Logistics highlighted its tailored solutions designed to enhance efficiency and resilience of supply chains in these critical health areas. The Asia-Pacific region faces significant challenges: 6 out of 8 countries with the highest prevalence of TB are in this region, and South-East carries the second highest estimated malaria burden globally. Limited healthcare access, drug resistance, and the ongoing stigma surrounding these diseases remain pressing issues.

During the meeting, HELP Logistics shared examples of successful projects, such as the Health Supply Chain Resilience Project in Malawi executed in partnership with the Malawi Ministry of Health and the World Food Programme (WFP), and the Medical Supply Chain Resilience Project in Yemen with the Global Fund, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Yemen Ministry of Health. Additionally, the team presented its Medical Supply Chain Assessment of HIV, TB, and Malaria programs in collaboration with Save the Children Nepal.

Participants, including Ministries of Health from across the Asia-Pacific region and implementing partners supported by Global Fund grants, engaged with HELP Logistics in meaningful discussions on addressing ongoing challenges in public health supply chain systems. The session highlighted the importance of collaboration in overcoming barriers and ensuring sustainable solutions to strengthen healthcare systems in the region.

HELP Logistics remains committed to supporting global health initiatives and improving supply chains to deliver life-saving treatments to the most vulnerable communities.
